In explaining the type of music featured in “Vacation”, the band’s myspace says it all ”….features rock-driven music based on songs written by Codi Jordan that combine elements of Reggae, Folk, and Hip Hop…….Fans often refer to the style as high energy Jack Johnson, combined with the rawness of Sublime.”

Codi Jordan = LEN + Jack Johnson + G-Love + Vanilla Ice

Codi Jordan knows how to drop some flow. On Vacation, he lets it all loose with his amazing lyrical abilities. It’s fascinating how a kid from Eden, Utah can have such a rich, amazing perspective on life and such a fantastic interpretation of rap reggae. The album’s production is smooth and Codi’s lyrics deal with such important issues as drinking games and pretty girls—important subject matter for any member of a fraternity. Codi Jordan is obviously the next up-and-coming musical superstar with scheduled appearances on Channel 2’s morning show and opening slots for the always-inspiring and original Royal Bliss. Codi Jordan, you are so cool. –Jon Robertson

Codi Jordan is in a peculiar position.

He's released a new CD, "Vacation," which is available on iTunes, and will play Ogden's club Kamikaze tonight. Next week he and his band will play in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay, opening for eclectic rock/fusion band Slightly Stoopid.

The next day, the band will come home and donate its time to play with a talent show winner at Snowcrest Junior High in Eden, Jordan's hometown.

"That's where we are right now," Jordan said during an interview with the Deseret News. "We get these big shows and then play these smaller shows. But regardless, we love playing and will play anywhere and anytime."
